Welcome to Best Motorcycle Riding. By accessing or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
About This Site
Best Motorcycle Riding publishes long-term reviews, head-to-head comparisons and plain how-to guides on motorcycle riding gear: full-face helmets, textile touring jackets, riding gloves, helmet communicators and rain suits. Every piece is written from real miles on the road, with notes on fit, comfort, weather and protection ratings rather than marketing claims.

Riding Safety
Riding a motorcycle carries real risk of serious injury or death, and no helmet, jacket, glove or other piece of gear can prevent every injury. Nothing on this site is a guarantee of protection. Always check the certification a product actually carries (such as DOT FMVSS 218, ECE 22.06 or CE EN 17092 / EN 13594 for apparel and gloves) rather than relying on how it looks or what a listing claims.
Fit matters as much as the rating. A helmet that is too loose can shift or come off in a crash, and armor that sits in the wrong place does little. Replace any helmet after an impact or once it reaches the age its maker recommends. Rain gear and dark clothing can reduce how visible you are to drivers, so add reflective or high-visibility layers in poor light. Using a helmet communicator or phone while riding can divide your attention: set it up before you ride, keep volume low enough to hear traffic and sirens, and follow your state's laws. Wet roads, cold hands and fatigue all slow your reactions, so adjust speed and take breaks on long days.
The information here is general and is not a substitute for professional rider training, the manufacturer's instructions or local law. Consider an MSF or equivalent course whatever your experience level.
