This route will take you up and down a series of bluffs that run parallel to the huge river, as well as through some broad sections of gorgeous farmland. Between Dubuque and the Iowa state line is the best part of the Great River Road for motorcycles. The road conditions are very excellent, particularly in the Yellow River State Forest.

Take this route near the Missouri River on the state’s western tip for a motorbike journey across Iowa with gorgeous, tranquil landscape. For stunning views of Iowa’s Loess Hills, visit the neigh bouring Murray Hill Scenic Overlook.
4. YELLOW RIVER LOOP

For some of Iowa’s best motorcycle roads, head north on IA-76 and east on Iowa River Road from Waukon. Riding across some major hills and valleys with spectacular views is a must-do. This fantastic Iowa motorcycle route begins in Indianola and leads west to Lake Red Rock. Hills, sharp twists, and plenty of country side beautiful views, including spectacular views of the lake, await riders. The Mile Long Bridge is a fun way to get away from the cornfields. After the bridge, stop by the Cordova Observation Tower, and the Red Rock Dam is well worth a visit, since the entire route after the bridge offers spectacular views of the lake.
6. WILLIAMSBURG TO CEDAR RAPIDS

If you’re looking for a motorbike ride near Cedar Rapids, you’ve come to the right place. Take this route from Williamsburg through the Amana Colonies, north on P-Ave, then south on US-6 into South Amana. You’ll travel through Walford and into Cedar Rapids on US-151. This is a fantastic ride across Iowa farm country in the summer. Food, drinks, and sight-seeing opportunities abound along this path in any of the Amana villages.
