The Arai XD helmet’s Twin-Cam Shield Pivot System allows the faceshield to work fully beneath a peak that can be lowered for improved aerodynamics. It has a high-flow peak that directs air into the front vents. Dual TDF3 top intake vents and Double Delta bridged exhaust vents are designed to pull a large amount of air from the interior of the helmet. The fibreglass composite shell is stronger and lighter than steel, allowing for the use of softer, less dense liner materials for improved rider comfort. Large chinbar side exhaust vents pull out additional heated air, while an efficient chinbar vent with interior and exterior controls delivers fresh air to the mouth area or across the shield interior to assist avoid fogging. The Arai XD series helmets come with a shield and peak, a peak alone for usage with goggles, or only a shield.

When Should Your Arai Helmet be Replaced?

Due to the deterioration of the shell structure over time, the usual life expectancy of a fibreglass helmet is seven years; this is why Arai offers a seven-year warranty from the date of production and a five-year limited warranty from the date of purchase. However, we recommend that you replace your Arai helmet beyond this date.
